Kronus turnkey GCMS system


The first of a new generation of GCMS instrumentation, Kronus represents a new concept in design of time of flight analyzer combined with a fully integrated gas chromatograph in a compact benchtop instrument. The mass spectrometer is based on a novel combination of energy filter preceding a time of flight analyzer to give the best possible sensitivity and dynamic range in all GCMS ionization modes. This revolutionary concept brings all the advantages of time of flight technology to GCMS in a small affordable package.

  • Robust design incorporating an energy filter to enhance mass transmission and prevent direct contamination of the mass analyser giving maintenance free lifetime performance

Stand-Alone ToF-MS For Existing GC systems

The Kronus SA Time of Flight analyzer is also available as a stand-alone unit. This instrument can be fitted to a wide range of GCs including existing systems that may currently be in use with a FID. The ToF unit has also been designed to operate with GCxGC systems and comes complete with all the necessary hardware to enable simple interfacing. The system comes with a reference inlet, EI ion source and heated GC transfer line as standard.

SAI, Ltd. now offers a comprehensive GC ToF  ( GCxGC-ToF ) system based on the Kronus ToF analyzer.  Because GCxGC is both a qualitative and quantitative technique, most GC applications can be accomplished using GCxGC.
